The published guidance behind each simulation comparison, and how it is applied.
Last updated: October 25, 2026
SimChrona compares what a facilitator recorded during a simulation with published resuscitation guidance. This page lists the source of each comparison. The comparisons are educational training feedback written by HealthTok, LLC. They are not a clinical or legal certification of anyone’s performance, and they are not endorsed by the American Heart Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics or the American Epilepsy Society.
How a comparison is made
Each step in a comparison is transcribed by hand from the published document, with its source. Nothing is invented or estimated. A step is marked Met or Missed only when the tapped events can show it. When the app cannot tell (for example a blood pressure value, or whether a patient was stable), the step is marked Observed and is not scored. Typed notes and voice notes are never used in a comparison; only the logged events are.
American Heart Association and American Academy of Pediatrics
These comparisons use the algorithms in the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC, published in Circulation in October 2025. All of the algorithms are on one page: AHA algorithms. The guidelines home page is 2025 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC.

Hospital targets
The “Hospital targets” card on cardiac arrest reports uses the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation program measures (Program Measures & Definitions, DS19781, updated January 2024). Time zero is the start of the simulation. It is shown as feedback on facilitator taps, not as a certification.
Best-practice guidelines (not AHA)
Where the American Heart Association publishes no algorithm for a scenario, SimChrona may use another named professional-society guideline. These are always labeled “best-practice guideline” in the app and in reports, and are never presented as AHA algorithms.
